Who We Are

Go Forward Ministries is a Biblically based Seventh-day Adventist outreach fully aligned with the writings of Ellen G. White. We believe the country living message is not optional counsel — it is a present truth imperative for God's remnant people in these last days.

Our name is drawn from Exodus 14:15 — the Lord's command to Israel at the Red Sea. When the way forward seems impossible, God says: Go forward. We believe that going forward today means leaving the cities, returning to the land, and preparing for what is to come.

Medical Ministry, p. 310

"Out of the cities is my message at this time. Be assured that the call is for our people to locate miles away from the cities."

Country Living, p. 9

"Get out of the cities as soon as possible and purchase a little piece of land where you can have a garden, where your children can watch the flowers growing and learn from them lessons of simplicity and purity."

Country Living, p. 12

"The cities are to be worked from outpost centers. The workers are to live outside the cities, and go in to hold meetings."

Adventist Home, p. 136

"The plan of living in large cities is not God's plan for His people."

Testimonies, Vol. 2, p. 357

"I saw that God's people should not imitate the fashions of the world. Some thought that to dress plain was degrading... but to be humble, to dress plain, to show by the plainness of our apparel that our hearts are where our treasure is, is not degrading."

Ministry of Healing, p. 365

"The more nearly we come into harmony with God's original plan, the more favorable will be our position to secure health of body and mind and soul."

Ministry of Healing, p. 367

"In the cities the peril is constantly increasing. The intense passion for money, the absorption in business, the striving for supremacy, the lust for luxuries, the indulgence of appetite and passion, are sapping the foundations of physical and mental strength."

Education, p. 102

"In the plan of redemption the family was again to be the agency for the upbuilding of God's kingdom. The home was to be the school where children were to be trained for lives of usefulness and duty."

Testimonies, Vol. 8, p. 50

"Everywhere I see notices of the purchase of land in the country. I am glad to see this. The time is fast coming when the controlling powers of earth will sway with a terrible force over human minds."

Patriarchs & Prophets, p. 595

"The health of body and mind is greatly promoted by cultivation of the soil... There is more happiness to be found in the humble round of domestic life than in the restless excitement of a fashionable career."

Signs of the Times, Jan. 9, 1896

"Many think that without capital they cannot establish themselves in business in the country... but thousands of acres of land lie uncultivated that would, if cultivated, yield a bountiful harvest."

Child Guidance, p. 55

"If parents could secure small homes in the country, with land for cultivation, where the children could be kept busy in the open air, doing the work necessary to care for garden, orchard, and small home farm, with the influence of the mother to teach and guide, what a saving grace it would be."

Why We Started Go Forward Ministries

For years, we sat in Sabbath School classes and Adventist gatherings and heard the country living message referenced — but rarely taught. We heard it mentioned as a nice ideal, a distant aspiration, something for someday. But Sister White did not write as though it were optional. She wrote with urgency. She wrote as a mother warning her children.

This ministry exists because we believe the time for someday is past. The cities are ripening for judgment. The call of Revelation 18:4 — "Come out of her, my people" — is a present-tense command, not a future suggestion. We want to equip every Adventist family that is willing to hear it with the biblical grounding, the practical skills, and the community to actually make the move.

Our first module asks the most basic question: Is this even biblical? We believe the answer is overwhelmingly yes — and we've built the case from Genesis to Exodus. Download it, study it with your Sabbath School class, and let the Word speak for itself.

Go forward. The Lord is leading.

"Go Forward" — A Word for Our Time

Israel stood at the Red Sea. Behind them, Pharaoh's army. Before them, an impassable wall of water. It was a moment designed to produce fear, paralysis, and retreat. And yet God's word to Moses was precise and simple: Tell the people of Israel to go forward.

We believe this is God's word to His remnant people today. The obstacles are real. The cost of country living is real. The disruption to career, to comfort, to community is real. But the God who parted the Red Sea has not changed. He goes before His people still.

Sister White wrote in 1899: "The time has come for our people to take a decided step in the direction of country living." That time has not passed. If anything, the signs around us tell us it has come with greater urgency. Let us take that step — in faith, in prayer, and in the confidence that He who calls us is faithful.

Our Statement of Faith

Go Forward Ministries is a Biblically based Seventh-day Adventist ministry. We affirm the 28 Fundamental Beliefs of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. We hold the writings of Ellen G. White as the Spirit of Prophecy and as an authoritative guide for faith and practice.

We believe the country living message is not peripheral counsel — it is a central pillar of present truth for the last days. We believe in the three angels' messages of Revelation 14, the imminent return of Jesus Christ, and the urgent need for God's people to prepare — spiritually, physically, and practically.

We do not water down, reinterpret, or apologize for the plain counsel of Scripture or the Spirit of Prophecy. We simply seek to teach it faithfully.

Our Mission

To equip Seventh-day Adventist families with the biblical, prophetic, and practical foundation to embrace the country living message and act on it — not someday, but now.

Our Method

We produce free, downloadable teaching modules suitable for Sabbath School classes, small groups, and family study. Each module is scripture-rich, Spirit of Prophecy-grounded, and practically oriented.

Our Convictions

We believe the cities are not safe for God's people in these last days. We believe country living is not merely a lifestyle preference but a present truth imperative revealed by God through His prophet.

Our Community

We are a small, volunteer-led ministry. We have no paid staff, no building fund, and no denominational budget. We exist on the freewill offerings of those who believe the message is worth carrying forward.
